3’-deoxyadenosine, also known as cordycepin, is one of the effective ingredients of the valuable traditional Chinese medicine Cordyceps sinensis. It has a wide range of pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, inhibition of apoptosis, scavenging of oxygen free radicals, etc. At the same time, cordycepin has been proved to have a clear neuroprotective function, which can inhibit the release of inflammatory factors after injury, relieve the infiltration of inflammatory cells and macrophages, and maintain the integrity of the blood-brain barrier after trauma.

Conclusion: 3’-deoxyadenosine has protective effect on underwater explosion craniocerebral injury.
